A look at the principals
Jim Joffe - President
After several years with one of the largest management companies
in the manufactured housing industry, Jim Joffe joined forces with Bill Hanks to
form J & H Asset Property Management, Inc. That was eighteen years ago. As
President, Jim directs the mobile home park division of J & H. That division
currently manages the operations of over 70 communities in Arizona, California, Nevada and Colorado, ranging from 30 to 300 spaces.
Jim currently sits on the Western Manufactured Housing Community Association
(WMA) Board of Directors. He serves as a Member of the WMA Renaissance Committee
and previously chaired the WMA’s Small Parks Committee. Jim served the Rialto
Rent Review Commission and Committee for the re-writing of the Rent Control
Ordinance, as the Park Owners’ Representative. He is past President of the
Rialto Park Owners Association. He also represented the Park Owners during the
formulation of the Moorpark and La Verne Ordinances, inserting language, which
actually led to the exemption from the ordinance on many of the spaces of his
clients’ parks. Jim’s “hands-on” management approach has enabled him to maximize
the potential of the properties managed by his firm.
Under Jim’s direction, J & H Asset Property Management, Inc. has shown unmatched
growth during our eighteen years of operation. This is directly attributable to
a “hands-on” approach in which they become directly involved with the residents,
facilities, on-site staff, and political atmosphere that makes each mobile home
community unique.
William Hanks, CPM
Vice President
Bill Hanks and his partner, Jim Joffe, founded J & H Asset
Property Management, Inc. in 1986. Bill has spent the past twenty-four years in
the property management industry, managing mobile home communities and apartment
buildings. He currently handles day-to-day responsibilities in the management of
13 communities, as well as administers and oversees the financial aspects of J &
H.
Bill has been active in local politics and has worked with several cities and
counties in California. He has spoken at property management seminars throughout
the state for community owners and managers. He served a term as president of
the Western Mobilehome Association (WMA) and was on their Board of Directors for
several years. He currently sits on the WMA Legislative Committee. Additionally,
he has served on numerous WMA Committees over the years including Utility
Committee, Education Committee and the Small Park Owners Committee.
